Hey everyone!
Well I wish I could say that I'm coming to you live from beautiful Paso Robles, but, while it is still pretty, it has been hotter than the furnace in Satan's kitchen for the past week. Luckily I haven't melted, and I'm still coherent enough to bring you this weeks report. I'm running out of time unfortunately, so I'll quit wimping around here and give the highlights:
1. We had an AMAZING lesson with our investigator, Valerie. We met with her at her home with a member of the bishopric, and she had a list of questions to ask us. They were all solid questions, and we ended up teaching her the Plan of Salvation. She loved it, and said this about it: "It feels good. Really good." I LOVED that. Because really, what doesn't feel good about the gospel? She's also consistently reading the Book of Mormon and she's almost finished with 2 Nephi. I'm a very proud Elder.
2. We drove 30 minutes east to a little town called Shandon to try and contact a few less actives. We went up to one of their houses, and we ended up recontacting and elderly woman and her granddaughter that we had met on the street in Paso a few weeks ago. They immediately recognized us, and invited us in. The woman's husband is a less active member, and they were very open and receptive to us. We had an awesome lesson with them, and left them with a couple copies of the Book of Mormon. What's even more is the granddaughter went into rehab the next day. It was undeniably a miracle.
3. Elder Grow of the Seventy was at our Zone Conference this Friday. That was awesome. He talked a lot about always finding ways to step it up a notch, and he talked a lot about consecrating ourselves as missionaries and setting meaningful goals. I really got a lot out of it :)
And those are the three big hitters for this week! I hope you all have a wonderful week, and I hope you always remember that, with God, all things are possible. Without Him, nothing is. I love you all :)
Love,
Elder Brennan Jon Rosenlof

We Are Consecrated Servants of Jesus Christ
Hey everyone!!
That time of the week has come again where you all get to hear from your favorite Elder :) Things are going great up here as usual here in El Paso de Robles!! We've gotten a lot of awesome work done this week, so are the highlights :)
1. We spent most of our week this week contacting everyone we could on the ward list. We've met a LOT of awesome people, and there's several people that we're hoping to start working with. Hopefully we'll be able to help them recapture the Spirit they once felt and bring them back to the fold! We still have a ton of people to go, but so far its gone well!
2. We had an awesome lesson with a LA that we've been trying to get ahold of FOREVER. We talked about the importance of the gospel in our lives and he said that he really wants to recapture the excitement he had when he was baptized a couple years ago. And guess what??? He was t church yesterday!! So that was awesome!!
3. On a less awesome note we had to get our tire fixed because we ran over a nail :P But we ended up talking to this really cool guy at the tire store and had a really good gospel discussion with him! The Lord works in mysterious ways :)
As for the spiritual thought, I just wanted to share something really quick :) So the mission goal for this transfer is becoming more consecrated missionaries. As I thought about that, I read an awesome talk by Elder Christofferson. After reading it, I was able to identify 5 things that really define a truly consecrated disciple of Christ:
1.Humility
2.Repentance
3.Charity
4. Servitude
5.Dedication
I'd encourage all of you to find ways that you can consecrate yourself further to our Savior's work :)
I hope you all have a good week!! Keep on keeping on :)
Love,
Elder Brennan Jon Rosenlof
Here's a picture with his birthday cake. He accused me of stalking him.

Transfers, Birthdays, and Other Such Adventures
Hey everyone!
Hope that you're all doing good! I'm doing awesome! It's been a pretty good week! It was a little bit uneventful, but I'll give you a quick rundown of the highlights :)
So on Tuesday we had transfers, and that was interesting. It's quite a change to go from being in the city where the meeting is held to being in the area that is the furthest that you can get from it haha! We had to get up at 4 in the morning so that we could make it on time, and we still made it just 5 minutes before the meeting started. After that, it was a solemn goodbye to Elder Fyffe and a joyful hello to Elder Waite! A quick rundown on him:
1.He's from Loveland, Colorado. (My first comp not from Utah)
2. He's been out about 20 months now.
And that's about all I can think of....haha! If you have any other questions on him just give me a holler.
I also celebrated a very special day this week! Saturday marked the 19th anniversary of when I made my gracious entrance into this sphere which we call the world! In other words, I turned 19! If you want to know how I feel, I can honestly tell you that I feel kinda old. I know that's weird coming from a whipper snapper like me, but seriously. I never thought that I'd be 19. I thought that was a figment of my imagination. So yeah. Old.
So enough of that rambling. I don't have any marvelous stories about our wonderful investigators this week :/ All but one of them was out of town or sick or had a sick/dying family member, so that kinda sucked. But we did make a start on our goal of contacting everyone on the ward list, and that is quite the endeavor. But we've already met a lot of awesome people, and our wards activity rate is about to skyrocket because of all the moveouts we've found haha! But overall we've had a really good week. We've worked hard, and things are still going well here in Paso :)
Quick spiritual thought: Always remember that the Atonement is always there. It's the greatest 24/7 service that there is :)
I hope that you all have an awesome week! Keep being awesome, aight?
Love,
Elder Brennan Jon Rosenlof
Ps I think this picture pretty accurately describes our companionship thus far.

Adventures in Paso Robles!
Hey everyone!
Things are still going great here in Paso Robles! Very dry though. I'm very jealous of everyone in Utah, because we need that rain pretty desperately. I'm pretty limited on time today, so I'll just shoot you a few of the highlights this week:
1. Transfers have rolled around again, but I will be here in Paso first for another 6 weeks! I'm pretty stoked about that. I'm sad to see Elder Fyffe leave though :( He's probably my favorite companion so far. We had a good run, but he'll do awesome down in Camarillo. My new comp will be Elder Waite, so stay tuned to hear the marvelous adventures of Rosenlof and Waite.
2. We made a trip out to Shandon this week! Shandon is a tiny little farming community right at the edge of the mission, and we had some business to take care of so we journeyed out there! We saw some pretty awesome stuff, including this awesome old church on a hill! Pictures are included below.
3. We mad awesome progress with one of our investigators this week! His name is Bob (I affectionately refer to him as 'Bashy Bob'), and he has been meeting with us for a while. He hasn't been making to much progress, mostly because he meets with us to determine whether or not we are going to heaven. But we had a huge breakthrough with him, and ended up having a 2 hour discussion about the Book of Mormon. It was awesome. I'm really excited to see where he takes this.
And that's about all for this week! Sorry this is so short. Time is very limited here at the Paso Public Library :/ I hope you all have a great week! Thanks for all that you do :)
